Urban Academy is currently inviting a dedicated, team-oriented Educational Assistant to join our support team in Junior School for the 2026-2027 school year.

As An Education Assistant, Your Responsibilities Include

- Provide classroom support and small group instruction under the guidance of classroom teachers and Student Services team.
- Provide playground and classroom supervision during breaks and transitions as well as other duties assigned by the Junior School Principal

Qualifications And Requirements

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- EA certificate
- Have an excellent rapport with children guided by trauma-informed practices
- Related experience working in a school setting
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills




- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility to work across a range of grades and disciplines
- Experience in using Google Suite for Education for documentation and communication, and assistive technologies to support students with accommodations
- Current Safety Awareness & First Aid for Childhood Emergencies Certificate
- Transparent Criminal Records Check

Preferred Qualifications, Experiences, And Dispositions

- ECE or ECEA certificate
- Inclusive Education diploma

- Competitive compensation and annual salary ranging of $47,500 - $57,000, inclusive of vacation pay and commensurate with qualifications and years of experience
