About the Role
What We Expect/Purpose Of Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the business through accurate processing, reporting and analysis. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, preparing statutory and management accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
In This Role, You Will
- Oversee finance team members to perform daily financial administration and transactional processing.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports and accounts.
- Support the production of tax returns and compliance reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
- Contribute to specialist areas or reporting, such as Roaming and Regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review regular financial inputs, including invoices, payments, receipts, journals, and reconciliations.
- Oversight of the Fixed Asset Register - setting up jobs, posting expenditure,
preparing and logging business cases and tracking performance against budget
- Monitor all inventory related transactions – including posting of transactions and running regular stock takes
- Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with the statutory financial statements, annual audit and regulatory reporting
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closure processes
- Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary to support business understanding
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy
