We are looking for a GRC Manager for a 6 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is fully on site in North York.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead medium-to-large IT Governance, Risk & Compliance initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct IT risk and control assessments, identify gaps, and drive remediation activities.
- Apply governance and risk frameworks such as COBIT 2019 and NIST.
- Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Audit, Compliance, and business teams to strengthen IT controls and manage risk.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
- Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, risk summaries, and governance materials.
- Track compliance, risk, control, and remediation activities and escalate issues as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve governance processes, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

Must Have
- 7+ years of experience in IT Governance, Risk, Controls, Compliance, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading medium-to-large IT initiatives or projects.
- Strong understanding of IT controls,



risk management, governance, and compliance.
- Experience developing or administering IT policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.
- Familiarity with COBIT and NIST frameworks; working knowledge of COBIT 2019 is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have
- COBIT 2019 certification or related GRC certification.
- Experience in regulated industries such as banking, financial services, insurance, or government.
- Experience supporting internal/external audits, regulatory assessments, or control testing.
- Experience with GRC, risk management, or compliance tools.
- Experience driving process improvement and organizational change.
