The Opportunity:





The Part Time, Individual Giving Coordinator position is a valuable member of our Resource Development team and reports to the Director of Resource Development.

Key Responsibilities:

The Individual Giving Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Calgary Meals on Wheels’ financial sustainability through a focused individual giving program. The position is responsible for managing and growing relationships with individual donors, with primary responsibility for donors giving under $5,000 and Calgary Meals on Wheels’ monthly giving program.

Reporting to the Director, Resource Development, the Coordinator is responsible for donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement, stewardship, renewal and reactivation within their assigned portfolio. The position also supports annual giving campaigns, appeals, donor communications and related individual giving initiatives while ensuring accurate and timely donor information and gift processing.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year experience in grant writing and post-secondary education in a relevant field that pertains to the non-profit sector or business.

· OR

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in fundraising including grant writing.





· A proven track record of successfully securing gifts through grants/proposals.

· Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting or money-handling, and experience working with financial software or databases.

· Basic understanding of accounting principles

· Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams & previous CRM / database experience is an asset)

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Excellent organization skills

· Clean police check and Vulnerable Sector Search

· Clean 3-year Drivers Abstract

· Proficient in spoken and written English

Calgary Meals on Wheels values a casual, friendly environment that recognizes the importance of work/life balance. Working hours are Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM but flexibility is required to accommodate the requirements of the job, specifically evenings and weekends may be required from time to time.
