Permanent Part Time Community Property Management Coordinator

Work Week: Two days a Week

Rate of Pay: $ 22 - $ 24

Job Summary: Under the direction of the CPM Supervisor, assisting with the effective and effective implementation of the Housing Services’ Program within established time frames and legislative requirements

Labour Sponsored Community Development Group Community Property Management Coordinator Job Specifications

Education & Skills: Completed a 2-3 year Program in Business Administration from an accredited Canadian Community College and 2-3 years recent and relevant work experience working with Board of Directors, financial statements and related government programs.

Work Experience: Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Internet and standard office equipment.

Knowledge: Recent and relevant working knowledge of the legislative and the legal framework under which the services are delivered, including:

- Ministry Of Municipal Affairs and Housing Programs
- Municipal requirements through the Service Manager of Social Housing
- Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Social Housing Programs

Work Related Abilities

Policies and Procedures: Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures and makes recommendations for changes where applicable.

Handle Multiple Tasks / Requests: Able to manage complex and difficult relationships with all related parties including frequent change, delays, multiple requests (phone & in-person), high volume of requests, while addressing written tasks, unexpected events etc.

Spoken and Written Communications:



Able to clearly present information through the spoken word (telephone & in-person) and in writing and to document activities using excellent oral and written communication; to read and interpret written information; listen well.

Interaction: Able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport.

Organization and Planning: Attention to detail when completing tasks with excellent organizational skills, develop action plans while be sensitive to time constraints and resource availability, defines realistic, specific, prioritized goals and objectives.

Problem Solving: Able to assist in ensuring housing obligations are met. Ability to provide excellent co-ordination, consultation, interpersonal, negotiation / mediation, facilitation, creative problem solving, critical analysis and information synthesis skills. Works independently and utilizes sound judgement. Performs all assigned duties with minimal supervision.

Safety: Demonstrates skill around personal safety, de-escalation of clients and ability to advocate for responsible harassment-free behaviour. Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Checks required.

Relevant Work Environment: The work week will be a minimum of twenty-two and one half (22.5) hours including regular evening and weekend work. Must have the ability to drive in accordance with agency policies as travel by personal vehicle across Essex County on a regular basis is required. Must own effective mode of transportation and a valid Ontario driver’s license. Must provide up-to-date police clearance and proof of insurance.
