Role Description This is a full-time, in office Junior or Intermediate Engineer-in-Training role based in Calgary, AB. The engineer will support stormwater planning and design projects by performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, preparing models, and assisting in the development of stormwater management plans and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include drafting technical reports, coordinating with senior engineers,



reviewing design standards and guidelines, and contributing to project documentation and quality control.

The role also involves collaborating with internal team members, engaging with clients under supervision, and participating in site visits as needed.

Qualifications

- Interest in civil or environmental engineering principles, particularly related to stormwater management and drainage design.
- Experience or coursework in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, using relevant software tools (e.g., PCSWMM).
- Proficiency with CAD and design software (e.g., AutoCAD) for preparing plans, profiles, and site layouts is an asset
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, including calculations, figures, and concise engineering reports.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills for evaluating site conditions and design alternatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and interacting with clients under guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; eligibility for EIT or professional registration in Alberta is required.
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Experience or interest in land development or city building is considered beneficial.
