- Review and implement the Design Quality Management Plan (DQMP), Manufacturing Quality Management Plan (MQMP), inspection plans,

and related quality processes.
- Support technical issue resolution throughout the project, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System) activities.
- Ensure appropriate document-control processes are established and maintained for engineering and manufacturing deliverables.
- Support project closeout activities and ensure all required engineering and manufacturing documentation is complete and properly controlled.
- Liaise with the client, suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, project management, and other key stakeholders to maintain technical alignment.
- Participate in design reviews, manufacturing reviews, testing activities, technical meetings, inspections, and other project activities as required.
- Travel regularly to Hyundai Rotem facilities in South Korea to oversee, support, and participate in LRV design and manufacturing activities.

- Demonstrated experience working on LRV, metro/subway, intercity passenger rail, or comparable rolling stock projects.
- Direct experience in a similar engineering leadership role on at least two comparable rolling stock projects within the past 10 years.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering and design teams on major rolling-stock supply contracts.

- Strong understanding of train-level engineering, vehicle integration, design, manufacturing, testing, and technical documentation.
- Experience working with international engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to South Korea.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the project and meet project requirements for both virtual and in-person meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong background in RAMS engineering and safety-critical railway systems.
- Experience with railway vehicle quality-management systems and manufacturing quality processes.
- Experience developing or implementing Design Quality Management Plans (DQMPs) and Manufacturing Quality Management Plans (MQMPs).
- Proven experience with technical document control and engineering authentication.

- Proficiency with or strong working knowledge of CAD and engineering tools such as CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret and review both mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and documentation.
- Experience with vehicle-level systems integration and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
- Strong understanding of applicable Canadian engineering standards, railway requirements, and professional engineering practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
