Job Requirements

Light Olives Childcare Center is a newly established, licensed childcare center in Port Colborne, Ontario. We are committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced RECEs to join our founding team. This is an exciting prospect to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking workplace, where your skills and creativity will help shape our programs and culture from the very beginning.

Eligible for Loan Repayment Assistance Program through the Government of Ontario for eligible ECE graduates who live and work in a rural community. Candidates will need to apply for this on their own initiative.

The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) is responsible for the care, supervision, health, safety,



and well-being of children in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA), Niagara Region Public Health requirements, and all centre policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (current)
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Food Handler Certification
- Up-to-date immunizations, as required by Public Health
- Two-step TB test or current medical clearance
- Knowledge of Niagara Region Public Health requirements
- Experience working in a licensed child care setting (preferred)
