Position Overview Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Manager Health Services and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.

Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for providing clinical expertise to nurses.

The CRN assumes a leadership role in coordinating patient care within the health care team, ensuring quality patient care outcomes, and promoting an interprofessional patient centered approach to care based on best practice.

Experience Minimum two (2) years recent high risk Labour and Delivery experience and/or L.D.R.P. nursing experience required.

Minimum two (2) years recent experience in perioperative nursing in Labour and Delivery required.

Charge Nurse experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)



Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Current CRNM registration required.

Active participation in professional associations e.g.

Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required. NOTE: Successful completion and on-going renewal of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer required.

Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills required.

Demonstrated effective organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking/problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills in response to a variety of simultaneous demands required.

Demonstrated teaching ability required.

Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
