Medical Assistant Shift: M-F 6am - 2:30pm, 40 hours/wk, or M-F 8am - 4:30pm, 40 hours/wk We are seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to provide clinical and administrative support to providers and nursing staff in a patient-centered healthcare environment.
This position plays an important role in supporting efficient patient flow, coordinating care, and assisting with a variety of clinical procedures.
Key Responsibilities Provider Support Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other routine patient information.
Assist with patient scheduling and coordination of appointments.
Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
Set up equipment and supplies for procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
Help maintain productive patient flow throughout the clinic. RN & Clinical Support Assist nursing staff with telemedicine visits and related patient coordination.
Perform EKGs as ordered.
Perform routine patient assessments within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
Assist with wound care and dressing changes as directed.
Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for appropriate processing.
Support other clinical procedures and patient-care activities as needed.
Supplies & Equipment Coordinate and maintain clinical supplies to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
Assist with the distribution and coordination of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) .
Ensure examination and procedure rooms are appropriately stocked, clean, and ready for patient care.
Qualifications Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience required.
Previous experience in an outpatient, primary care, occupational health, or similar clinical setting preferred.
Phlebotomy and EKG experience required/preferred based on facility requirements.
Experience assisting with wound care and clinical procedures strongly preferred.
Comfortable working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and patient scheduling systems.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and a high standard of patient care.
