Join Oxford Learning Stoney Creek to empower elementary students as a part time Teacher/Tutor. This position focuses on helping students excel in literacy and social studies without pre-class lesson planning.
We are looking for passionate educator-tutors committed to providing effective in-person learning experiences. Teachers will engage with students during after-school hours, utilizing our established methodologies to promote skill development. A commitment through June and into the summer is highly preferred for continuity in student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct up to three students per session
• Follow the prescribed Oxford Learning teaching philosophy
• Document student progress and maintain communication
• Facilitate a supportive and engaging learning environment
• Encourage students to overcome academic challenges
Requirements:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or certification preferred
• Prior tutoring experience with K-8 students
• Excellent English written and oral skills
• Capacity to manage multiple learners simultaneously
• Completion of vulnerable sector screening required
