Our client, a prominent enterprise organization in the financial and insurance services sector, is seeking a senior Contract Microsoft SSE Program Lead for a 6-month remote contract opportunity (with strong potential for extension).

In this role, you will serve as the principal technical and strategic lead driving the adoption of Microsoft''s Security Service Edge (SSE) suite.

You will bridge strategic leadership with hands-on technical teams and external implementation partners to modernize secure access and advance the organization''s Zero Trust architecture.

Responsibilities Program Leadership: Drive the enterprise Security Service Edge (SSE) initiative from initial planning through design, deployment, and operational transition across cross-functional technology teams.

Solution Architecture & Design: Design, validate, and document target-state SSE architectures including Microsoft Entra Internet Access, Microsoft Entra Private Access, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.

Zero Trust Strategy: Advance the organization''s Zero Trust security posture by designing identity-driven access policies, secure web traffic inspection, and remote access modernization (VPN replacement).

Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact with Microsoft, external implementation partners, managed service providers, and internal executive leadership.





Delivery & Governance: Maintain program roadmaps, project plans, risk registers, and decision logs while leading pilot testing, rollout strategies, and operational handoffs to internal teams.

Qualifications 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud security, networking, or identity and access management (IAM).

Proven track record leading complex security transformation or network modernization programs in large-scale environments.

Deep hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Defender, and Zero Trust frameworks.

Strong technical background in enterprise networking, secure web gateways, and ZTNA/SASE concepts.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.

Preferred: Direct experience with Microsoft SSE (Entra Internet Access, Entra Private Access, Global Secure Access), experience in financial services or insurance sectors, and relevant Microsoft Security certifications.
