We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Project Manager - AI & Strategic Initiatives to help drive a portfolio of AI-related agreements and cross-functional technology initiatives for one of our key clients.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a global leader in science and technology with a complex enterprise environment supporting businesses around the world. As the organization expands its use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, a number of initiatives require coordination across Technology, Legal, Security, Privacy, Procurement, and business teams.
The successful candidate will initially take ownership of driving a portfolio of agreements with AI technology providers through internal review and decision-making processes. This will involve coordinating stakeholders, identifying outstanding requirements and decisions, driving meetings, tracking actions, and persistently following up to keep agreements and related initiatives moving toward completion.

The role will also support related strategic projects requiring requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional project management.
This is a role for a self-starter who is comfortable stepping into loosely defined initiatives, quickly creating structure, and taking ownership of getting things done.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and drive multiple AI and technology vendor agreement initiatives from initial review through internal approval and completion.
- Coordinate activities across Legal, Technology, Security, Privacy, Procurement, Risk, and business stakeholders.
- Establish clear project plans, priorities, dependencies, decision points, and next steps.
- Identify outstanding questions and requirements and ensure they are routed to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to keep decisions, approvals, and deliverables moving.
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings required to resolve issues and make decisions.
- Document decisions, actions, owners, dependencies, risks, and outstanding items.
- Maintain transparent visibility into the status of multiple agreements and related workstreams.
- Identify roadblocks and escalate issues appropriately when progress is at risk.
- Coordinate information and requirements between internal stakeholders and external technology providers as required.
- Support technology vendor evaluation, onboarding, governance, and approval activities.
- Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for related initiatives.

- Translate loosely defined needs into structured projects, workstreams, and actionable plans.
- Manage related cross-functional projects and initiatives as they emerge.
- Develop concise project updates and decision materials for senior stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure appropriate traceability of decisions and actions.
- Build strong working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and create momentum without requiring significant day-to-day direction.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes associated with AI technology evaluation, contracting, governance, and implementation.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years of experience in technology project management, program management, or a related role within complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Experience working closely with Legal and technology teams on vendor agreements, contracting processes, technology procurement, or related initiatives.
- Experience coordinating with Security, Privacy, Risk, Procurement, or other enterprise governance functions.
- Strong understanding of the processes associated with evaluating, approving, contracting, and onboarding enterprise technology vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, priorities, stakeholders, and dependencies.
- Strong requirements gathering and business analysis capabilities.
- Experience facilitating meetings and driving groups toward clear decisions and actions.
- Exceptional follow-up skills and a demonstrated ability to maintain momentum across complex stakeholder groups.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify roadblocks, determine appropriate next steps, and escalate effectively when required.
- Ability to operate successfully in ambiguous or evolving environments with limited direction.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop clear project documentation, status reporting, and decision materials.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business and technology leaders.
- A highly proactive, accountable, and results-oriented working style.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience supporting artificial intelligence, Generative AI, or emerging technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI, or enterprise AI adoption processes.
- Experience working with SaaS, cloud, AI, or enterprise software vendors.
- Exposure to technology contracting, third-party risk, data privacy, cybersecurity, or vendor governance.
- Experience supporting technology initiatives within regulated or highly governed enterprise environments.
- Experience working within large, global, or federated organizations.
- PMP, PgMP, or comparable project/program management certification.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a remote contract opportunity open to candidates across North America.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across multiple functions and will need to be comfortable taking ownership of initiatives that may not initially have clearly defined processes or plans.

This is not a contract administration or legal position. We are looking for an experienced technology project manager who can work effectively with Legal and other governance functions while owning the coordination, decision-making process, follow-up, and execution required to move initiatives forward.

The ideal candidate is persistent without being abrasive, highly organized without becoming bureaucratic, and comfortable bringing structure and momentum to complex initiatives involving numerous senior stakeholders.
