**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
**Job Description**
The Quality Inspector performs first-off, in-process, final, and incoming inspections to ensure all parts, materials, and components meet established quality standards in a precision machining environment.

This role operates CMM and vision systems, uses a variety of measuring tools, and applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support consistent product quality.
**Shift**
Day shift: 8:00am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday) on Fridays 7:00am-3:30pm
**Pay**
$25-30/hour
**Responsibilities**
Perform first-off inspections to verify initial part quality before full production runs.

Conduct in-process inspections to monitor and maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Carry out final inspections of finished parts to confirm they meet all specifications and quality standards.

Inspect incoming materials and components to ensure they comply with required standards and specifications.

Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and vision systems to perform precise measurements and inspections.

Use various gauges and measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and verniers, to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine inspection criteria and measurement requirements.

Identify non-conformances, document findings, and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.

Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure measurement tools and equipment are used correctly and consistently.
**Essential Skills**
5+ years of quality experience in a precision machining environment.

Proven experience performing first-off, in-process, final, and incoming inspections.

Strong technical knowledge of precision machining processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and related documents.
CMM operating experience, including use of Coordinate Measuring Machines for precision measurements.

Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, verniers, and gauges.

Knowledge of metals, metal alloys, and engineered plastics.

Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.

Ability to apply sound judgment in quality-related decision-making.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience programming and operating CMM and vision systems.

Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance practices in a machining environment.





Comfort working with various measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Ability to document inspection results clearly and accurately.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
