**Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic**
**Job Description**
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and airworthy.
You will perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, support overhaul programs, and ensure all work is
completed in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
This position may also involve mentoring apprentices and trades helpers and, when required, supporting flight operations as a Flight Engineer.
**Responsibilities**
Service, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory standards.
Ensure all aircraft and related equipment are maintained, serviced, and released to service in a timely and efficient manner.
Carry out daily aircraft maintenance tasks and participate in overhaul programs to support ongoing operational readiness.
Check the condition of aircraft structures, engines, and systems, and perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on larger aircraft, ensuring accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and technical publications to perform maintenance and inspections safely and correctly.
Direct and support the work of Aircraft Apprentices and Trades Helpers, providing guidance, training, and quality oversight as required.
Comply with all safety, regulatory, and company maintenance policies and procedures while working on the aircraft and in the hangar.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, ensuring all logbooks and documentation are complete and up to date.
When required, fly with the aircraft as a flight engineer to support operations and ensure proper functioning of systems during flight.
**Essential Skills**
Proven experience in troubleshooting aircraft systems and components.
Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2 License.
A&P; and aircraft maintenance experience with a focus on line maintenance.
Minimum of 5+ years of line maintenance experience.
Experience working on larger aircraft.
Ability to obtain and maintain RAIC and AVOP, or current possession of these credentials.
Strong understanding of approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
Strong attention to detail, safety focus, and adherence to maintenance standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
ACA approvals on any aircraft type.
ACA on B757 or B767 is preferred.
Valid passport with the ability to travel as required.
Previous experience mentoring apprentices or providing technical leadership.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days and nights.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a clean, well-maintained aircraft hangar in Hamilton, Ontario.
Employees work a rotating continental schedule
consisting of two weeks of day shifts followed by two weeks of night shifts, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The role focuses on large aircraft maintenance and overhaul activities and utilizes professional-grade maintenance tools and equipment.
Licensed AME compensation begins in the low $40/hour range, while ACA-qualified technicians can earn from the mid-$40s to high-$50s/hour, plus applicable premiums.
In addition, employees receive tool, boot, and uniform allowances to support a safe and qualified work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hamilton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $85280.00 - $120640.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
