About the Position
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Manager Major Projects.
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure, this role is responsible for delivering significant infrastructure projects safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with approved quality standards, statutory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
This role will lead the planning, procurement, delivery and governance of the Council's major capital works and strategic infrastructure projects to achieve community, economic and organisational objectives A full position description can be found here:

About You
As our preferred candidate you will have significant project management experience, working on complex infrastructure projects and substantial capital works programs. You will ideally have tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction management or a related discipline, with formal project management certification.
Highly effective contract administration skills, sound problem solving and decision-making skills as well as excellent financial and budget management skills are also a must.

Desired Skills And Experience
Working for the Shire of Broome in this role means you will enjoy:
- Base salary range between $145,000-$165,000 per annum (depending on qualifications, skills and experience).
- In addition to base salary there are generous Location Allowance of $11,783 and Rental Housing Allowance ($22,464) and employer matched superannuation.
- Shire housing at market rent available for candidates employed from outside of Broome (able to be salary sacrificed).
