Education and Training:

- Minimum of a Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited college or equivalent.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate is required.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required

Experience:

- Minimum of six (6) months of experience working as a Personal Support Worker in a hospital setting

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

- Demonstrated interpersonal / communication skills




- Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Gentle Persuasion Approachesto DementiaCare (GPA) are assets
