Job Summary The Prism Administrator supports the design and maintenance of Workday Prism datasets, data pipelines, calculated fields, integrations, and Workday reporting solutions. The role also assists with SQL-based data analysis, data reconciliation, troubleshooting, testing, and root-cause analysis across Workday and external systems.
Note: This is a hybrid role based out of Markham, ON. There will be occasional travel required for in person meetings 2-3 times per month or when needed for project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prism Administration
- Support the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Workday Prism Analytics data pipelines.
- Build and maintain Prism datasets by combining data from Workday and external data sources.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and enrichment processes within Prism.
- Monitor scheduled data loads and pipelines to ensure successful and timely processing.
- Investigate and troubleshoot failed data loads, pipeline errors, and data quality issues.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, Prism datasets, and downstream reporting.
- Assist with optimizing data pipelines for performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Maintain technical documentation for data sources, data pipelines, transformations, dependencies, and business logic.
- Support the identification and resolution of upstream and downstream data dependencies.
- Data Analysis
- Perform data profiling and quality checks to identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or inaccurate data.
- Compare source and target data to validate data transformations and integrations.
- Support pay data reconciliation activities.
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality concerns.
- Document findings and communicate technical issues and potential solutions to technical and functional stakeholders.
- Integrations
- Support the administration, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting of Workday integrations and data exchanges.
- Assist with reviewing inbound and outbound integration data to identify errors and discrepancies.
- Support integration testing between scheduling systems, Workday Prism, Workday Time Tracking, and Workday Payroll.
- Analyze integration output files and data to validate completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with troubleshooting integration failures and escalating complex issues to senior technical resources or integration partners.
- Support the development and maintenance of integration-related documentation and data flow diagrams.
- Help identify dependencies between integrations, Prism pipelines, reports, and downstream processes
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, or related field
- Workday Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in HRIS, data analytics, data engineering, systems administration, business intelligence, or enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience working with data pipelines, data transformation, reporting, or data integration.
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and developing or maintaining Workday calculated fields.
- Additional Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data and reporting requirements.
- Experience with enterprise data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, or data integration platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex data issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets
