As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides quality patient care to patients within the RPN scope of practice, and in collaboration with the RN when indicated.

- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Current certificates or current community college studies in asepsis, wound care, physical assessment, venipuncture, medication administration including the administration of IV medications, and transcription of physicians orders
- Current CPR Certificate
- Recent (minimum 2 years) experience in a clinic setting
- Demonstrated ability to function within an interdisciplinary team including nursing collaboration with RN and other members of the health care team
- Demonstrated ability to function in a rapid-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with patients, families, and other members of the health care team
- Demonstrated leadership, critical-thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
