We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Analytics

Intercept is an award-winning B2B marketing agency specializing in creating impactful digital content, creative, and campaigns that engage IT and business decision-makers.

We work with some of the largest enterprise technology companies in the world, including Microsoft, SAP, Lenovo, Intel, AMD, Cisco and more, helping them connect with their target audiences in meaningful ways.

As a Certified Great Place to Work, we foster a team-oriented and innovative environment where employees excel. With a fully remote workplace, we provide our team the flexibility they need to thrive both at home and at work.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Join our analytics team to turn data into better decisions for Intercept and our B2B technology clients. Your primary focus will be Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), alongside marketing measurement, reporting, data integration and our internal data warehouse. You will use LLMs and AI tools to deliver analysis and working technical solutions, manage small client engagements and supervise co-op students, with support from senior analytics and technology colleagues.

Responsibilities

- Lead GEO/AEO analysis to assess brand visibility, citations and answer quality across AI search platforms. Benchmark competitors and turn findings into prioritized content and discoverability recommendations.

- Analyze campaign, website, audience and business performance to answer client and internal questions. Identify trends, investigate drivers and recommend actions that support marketing and operational decisions.

- Use LLMs and AI tools in daily delivery to research, analyze data, write queries and automate workflows. Supply relevant context,

iterate on prompts and validate outputs against source data and business requirements.

- Help build Intercept’s internal data warehouse with senior analytics and technology colleagues: gather requirements, map source data, develop SQL transformations and reusable reporting tables, and validate outputs.

- Combine data from marketing platforms, CRM systems and internal tools. Support data ingestion and refresh workflows, troubleshoot discrepancies and automate recurring data preparation and reporting.

- Define consistent metrics and document data sources, transformations and assumptions. Build quality checks for accuracy, completeness and freshness, and follow established access and privacy practices.

- Build and maintain dashboards, reports and presentations for clients and internal teams. Translate business questions into useful views and explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Design measurement plans and experiments, including repeatable GEO/AEO benchmarks. Establish baselines, evaluate results and explain limitations before drawing conclusions about impact.

- Manage small client engagements from kickoff through delivery: clarify objectives, plan tasks, track scope, hours and deadlines, lead status meetings and present recommendations. Escalate risks and scope changes.
- Manage co-op students day to day: onboard them, assign clear briefs, balance workloads, review analysis and deliverables, and provide regular coaching and feedback.

Remain accountable for work quality.
- Deliver small technical projects from requirements through build, testing, documentation and handoff. Use Python and AI coding tools to develop and debug scripts, integrations, prototypes and internal tools; review generated code and validate results.

Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing measurement or a related data role; agency or consulting experience is an asset.

- Strong practical skills using LLMs and AI tools to deliver work: structure prompts and context, iterate on outputs, verify accuracy and protect confidential data.

- Strong SQL and Excel skills for cleaning, joining and analyzing data. Familiarity with relational databases and data modelling; experience building clear dashboards in a BI tool.

- Familiarity with SEO, marketing measurement and AI search, with an interest in developing GEO/AEO expertise. Practical GEO/AEO project experience is an asset.

- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools to deliver working scripts, automations or technical projects. Able to understand, test, debug and maintain the resulting code.

- Ability to manage a small client project, present findings clearly and coordinate contributors. Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of co-ops, interns or junior colleagues.

- Strong Python skills for data cleaning, analysis, automation and API integrations. Data pipeline and cloud warehouse experience is an asset; sound judgment about data quality is essential.
- Strong written and verbal English and the ability to work across analytics, strategy, content and technology teams. B2B technology experience and French language skills are assets.
