Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for administering and supporting SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments. The role involves monitoring database performance, availability, security, and capacity, implementing HA/DR solutions, and troubleshooting production issues. Additionally, the candidate will design and develop T-SQL objects, optimize SQL queries, and develop ETL processes using SSIS and Azure Data Factory. Experience in Java and Spring Boot development is desirable.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered):

- 7 years of SQL Server DBA and Database Development experience.
- Solid expertise in Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI), T-SQL Programming, Query Optimization & Performance Tuning.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory.
- Database Security & Monitoring.
- 2 years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
- Experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required):
- Experience with Azure cloud services and database migrations.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Databricks, or Synapse.




- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Azure or Client SQL certifications preferred.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role):
- Administer and support SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments.
- Monitor database performance, availability, security, and capacity.
- Implement and manage HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups, replication, backup, and recovery.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to performance, locking, blocking, and connectivity.
- Design and develop T-SQL objects including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers.
- Develop and support ETL processes using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Collaborate with application teams to ensure database design follows best practices.
- Develop, enhance, and support Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
- Build REST APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications.
- Integrate Spring Boot applications with SQL Server and Azure SQL MI databases.
- Participate in application troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
- Support CI/CD deployments and development best practices.
