Position: Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement - B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, automation, security, and ongoing management of large-scale cloud infrastructure environments within the public sector healthcare domain.

The successful consultant will provide technical leadership in cloud engineering, DevOps automation, AWS platform administration, containerization technologies, cloud security, monitoring, and system optimization. The role requires strong expertise in AWS services, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, security best practices, and cloud-native architectures.

Scope

Design, implement, manage, and maintain AWS-based production environments.

Build and automate cloud deployment and operational processes using DevOps methodologies.

Ensure cloud environments remain secure, highly available, resilient, and scalable.

Configure and support AWS services including networking, compute, storage, monitoring, and security components.

Design and implement container-based solutions utilizing Kubernetes and Docker.

Assignment Deliverables

AWS cloud architecture designs and implementation artifacts.

Automated deployment pipelines and DevOps solutions.





Infrastructure-as-Code configurations and operational automation scripts.

Cloud security implementation and hardening recommendations.

System monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Creation, management, and maintenance of AWS & related cloud-based production system.

Deployment and automation of packages forcloud-based system

Excellent knowledge in managing AWS resources and configuring Amazon VPC, AWS Firewall, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, auto-scaling, AWS IAM, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon Aurora DB, Amazon Redshift, Active MQ, AWS CloudTrail, AWS CloudWatch, and other services in the AWS family.

Knowledge of the following Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies - Amazon Connect, Amazon Pinpoint, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and Amazon Poll.

Nice to Have:

Experience with mobile device management solutions.

Experience evaluating and implementing cloud modernization strategies.
