Responsibilities:
- Assigns trucks, flights, loads to the Drivers, maintain constant radio/phone contact with the team on duty
- Coordinates operations with Airport Regulators and deals with all emergency adjustments
- Physically go on the ramp when required to provide guidance to the drivers in need
- Occasionally cover for Truck Driver position when there is a need due to shortage of manpower
- Receives incoming calls, coordinates with staff and kitchen personnel to ensure outbound trolleys are on schedule
- Monitors computers to determine arriving flight times to arrange for drivers to meet aircraft for unloading/loading
- Provides accurate and timely information to transportation supervisors / leads
- Coordinates with Meal Planners regarding irregularities and changes
- Participate in loading / unloading trucks to help drivers to deliver on time
- Maintain clean working area, maintain clean loading docks, maintain clean equipment following rules
- Comply with all safety rules and company standards
- Wear uniform & safety shoes while on duty
- Check conformity of health & safety documents & food safety documents
- Report / Communicate any malfunction to hierarchy and other teams on a daily basis
- Fill required security documents and proceed appropriate assignments, controls
- Maintain vehicles up to date & ensure necessary follow up
- Systematically process the calls by order of seniority everyday there is a shortage of manpower
- Check everyday the logbooks in each truck, twice a day, and place a new logbook every time it is needed
- Inspect everyday if logbooks are properly filled, and report any discrepancy by email to the Handling Manager & the Unit Manager OR through the Dispatch daily written report
- Assist Drivers on duty by preparing ice & beverages for the flights
- Perform other duties as assigned
