We are a family with 4 kids but the older two babysit themselves and others. We are a professional couple in kits- she is a designer and I'm a physician. I travel about once a month to conferences and work the occasional evening and when I do our kids activity schedule goes up in smoke. At minimum what we need is an experienced driver to ferry our kids around when I'm away. More is a bonus but not required. You can drive my car while I'm away so you don't need your own.
