Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join a busy Oil & Gas team in Calgary on a long-term contract. This role supports high-volume credit requests, customer onboarding, order reviews, and credit decisions while working closely with finance, collections, invoicing, and sales teams.

Responsibilities:

- Review credit requests and sales orders, processing routine files and escalating higher-value approvals as required.
- Manage a shared credit mailbox, prioritize requests, and maintain timely follow-up on outstanding items.
- Assess customer creditworthiness using credit reports, references, monitoring tools, and financial information.
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Collaborate with invoicing, collections, master data, and sales teams to gather information and resolve account issues.
- Maintain tracking documents for credit activity, approvals, and account details.
- Use Excel and other tools to organize data and support daily credit analysis.
- Communicate credit decisions, escalations, and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Support the transition of credit reference and customer data management activities into the role.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, credit administration, or a related finance role.
- Strong ability to assess credit information, evaluate risk, and make recommendations within approval limits.
- Sound judgment with the ability to prioritize urgent requests and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting credit decisions to internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel,



including reviewing and summarizing data from multiple reports.
- Collaborative approach with experience working across collections, customer service, sales, and finance teams.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping and customer account management.
- Experience with customer setup, credit references, collections, or financial reviews is an asset.
