Join our dynamic crew at Aura Privé Barbershop & Salon as Independent Contractors specializing in hair cutting, styling, braiding, or wig installation services. Located in a luxury, high-traffic environment at 313 Horton Street East, we offer a truly premium setup to maximize your income. Under our model, we provide a dedicated front-desk receptionist who completely manages the website booking platform, schedules appointments, and handles all client checkouts and payments. You get the absolute flexibility to set your own hours and input your own clients, while our front desk takes care of the administrative hassle. You keep your revenue minus a flat $350 weekly booth fee.

Responsibilities

- Provide professional barbering, hair styling, braiding, or wig installation services tailored to each client’s preferences.
- Coordinate with the Aura Privé receptionist to manage your daily schedule, handle walk-ins, and ensure seamless client transitions.
- Direct all clients to the front desk after their service for central POS payment processing.
- Keep your designated booth area clean, organized, and sanitized for your clients.
- Follow standard health and safety guidelines to keep the shop qualified.
- Cover the flat $350 weekly booth fee,



which is automatically deducted from your weekly card payouts collected at the front desk

Qualifications

- Clientele: Must have an active, existing client base or a clear plan to transition your book of clients to our high-traffic downtown location.
- Credentials: Valid Barber Certificate, Hairstylist License (Skilled Trades Ontario), or relevant training certificate. Candidates actively in the process of obtaining their license are welcome.
- Portfolio Proof: An active social media business page (Instagram, TikTok) or digital portfolio showcasing clear photos/videos of your recent work.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional styling experience (including apprentice hours or salon placement) is preferred.
- Legal Status: Legally eligible to work in Ontario, Canada (Open Work Permits and verified IRCC Maintained Status are fully accepted).
