Overview
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Leader to join our team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day warehouse operations for both e-commerce and wholesale fulfillment, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, returns processing, and general warehouse organization.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to order accuracy and timely fulfillment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will work closely with team members and supply chain operations manager to ensure products are received, stored, processed, and shipped accurately and efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete customer and wholesale orders for delivery or pickup, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping merchandise accurately and on time.
- Support the timely processing of e-commerce orders, with a focus on meeting the company's targeted 24-hour order turnaround.
- Verify product information, including SKU, style, size, color, quantity, and shipping details, to help maintain a high level of order accuracy.
- Receive and process incoming warehouse inventory, including unloading, counting, inspecting, labeling, and storing merchandise in designated locations.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing merchandise for damage, shortages, discrepancies, or other quality concerns and properly document and report any issues.
- Organize products, supplies, packaging materials, and equipment to ensure items are properly identified, stored, and easily accessible.
- Maintain an organized SKU layout, ensuring merchandise is stored accurately according to style, size, color, and designated warehouse location.
- Process customer and wholesale returns, including inspecting returned merchandise, documenting the return, and restocking eligible products in the appropriate locations.
- Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Use manual and/or electronic inventory management systems to track orders, inventory quantities, product locations, receipts, returns, and stock movements.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, including shipment arrivals and departures, inventory movements, damages, returns, and discrepancies.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged merchandise, incorrect shipments, missing stock, and other inconsistencies to the supervisor or Management.
- Monitor and use packaging materials and warehouse supplies responsibly to minimize unnecessary waste and support cost-control initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment while supporting effective space utilization and workflow.
- Follow established procedures for inventory handling, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, returns, quality control, and warehouse safety.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to support daily warehouse operations and resolve order or inventory issues.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles, including forklifts and other material-handling equipment, where properly trained and authorized.
- Maintain quality and service standards while adhering to established company procedures, workplace safety requirements, rules, and applicable regulations.
- Support the warehouse team with daily operational priorities and other warehouse activities as required.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties and support additional operational tasks as required based on business and departmental needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse,
distribution, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or inventory-control environment is preferred.
- Experience with e-commerce and/or wholesale order fulfillment is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify and process SKUs, styles, sizes, colors, quantities, and order information.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory control.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to use ERP or other inventory management systems for warehouse-related activities, including inventory tracking, receiving, shipping, and stock movements.
- Ability to perform inventory counts and maintain accurate warehouse and inventory records.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged merchandise, shipping errors, and other operational issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, safety, and productivity.
- Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience/certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with warehouse operations, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, moving, and handling merchandise, as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
