Overview

Responsible for food and beverage including beverage control service while providing an exceptional dining experience for all guests through genuine and knowledgeable service. Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bartenders will be expected to complete job duties as requested in a prompt and organized fashion, abiding by the standard checklist and quality specifications as provided by the Bar Manager or Restaurant Manager.

- Take beverage orders from guests and servers

- Prepare and serve alcoholic/ non-alcoholic drinks consistent with restaurant’s standard drinkrecipes

- Learn the names and personally recognize regular customersRecord drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system

- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges

- Responsible for bar tillWash and sterilize glassware

- Prepare garnishes for drinks and maintain cleanliness standards for the entire bar

PURPOSE / ACCOUNTABILITY

- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drinkpreparation and promotion of beverages

- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding all of ourproducts





- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, shelves and storage areas

- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Bar Manager

- Assist with restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies

- Be available to fill in as needed and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurantas directed by the Manager on duty

- Attend all scheduled employee meeting and offer suggestions for improvementFollow bar standards and opening/closing checklist

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Prior knowledge and interest in Italian food and wine

- Preferred 1-2 years experience serving in a similar setting

- Smart Serve certification required

- Knowledge and understanding of wines, spirits and all alcoholic beverages

- Ability to work efficiently and consistently in a fast paced environment

- Proven ability to lead a team, be a motivational team player

- Have the ability to carry a weight/ physical workload of up to 40lbs

- Be able to work in standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

- Work in a standing position for long periods of time

- Excellent problem solving and customer service skills

- Solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Pay: $17.60 per hour
