About Atlistis

Atlistis is a social-impact tourism platform focused on the Azores and Portugal. We help local people, businesses, guides, and service providers promote their experiences for free, while using our platform and community partnerships to support children’s sports, education, and opportunities in the Azores.

We are now looking for a Community Ambassador in Toronto to help us connect with Portuguese and Azorean businesses that may want to be part of our fundraising and community giveback program.

About the Role

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for someone who knows the Portuguese/Azorean community in Toronto and enjoys talking to people.

The Community Ambassador will reach out to local Portuguese and Azorean cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops, clubs, and businesses to introduce Atlistis and help build partnerships.

These businesses may choose to support Atlistis through simple giveback campaigns, such as donating a portion of sales from a menu item, promoting a special product, hosting a fundraiser night, or displaying a donation QR code.

This is a great opportunity for someone outgoing, trustworthy, motivated, and connected to the community who wants to earn extra money while helping support a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities

- Visit or contact Portuguese and Azorean businesses in the Toronto/GTA area
- Introduce Atlistis and explain the mission clearly
- Build relationships with business owners, managers,



and community leaders
- Help businesses understand simple fundraising options
- Deliver flyers, QR codes, and basic promotional materials
- Follow up with interested businesses
- Keep track of businesses contacted and partner progress
- Communicate updates regularly with the Atlistis team
- Represent Atlistis in a professional, friendly, and respectful way

Who We’re Looking For

- Connected to the Portuguese and/or Azorean community
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and the public
- Friendly, confident, and outgoing
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Interested in tourism, community work, fundraising, sales, marketing, or local business outreach
- Portuguese language skills are an asset but not required
- Sales, hospitality, customer service, or community experience is an asset

Compensation

This is a paid, commission-based part-time role with performance bonuses.

Ambassadors are paid for helping activate new business partners and can earn additional bonuses as those businesses participate and raise funds through Atlistis.

There is also an opportunity to earn larger milestone rewards based on long-term performance.

Schedule

- Flexible hours

- Some evenings or weekends may be useful depending on business availability
- Work can be done around school, another job, or other commitments

Location

This role is focused on Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

Applicants should be based in or near Toronto and comfortable visiting local businesses in person.

About Our Mission

Atlistis is working to connect tourism, local business, and community support in a new way. Our goal is to help locals in Portugal promote their services while creating more opportunities for children in the Azores through sports, education, and youth development.

Pay: $17.60-$34.35 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
