Event Sales Representative / Event Planner – Base Wage + Commission

The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall is looking for a motivated Event Sales Representative / Event Planner to help us generate new business and increase event bookings.

This position offers Ontario minimum wage plus a percentage-based commission on successful bookings that you generate.

Responsibilities

- Generate new leads and bring new clients to The Guelph Estate
- Promote our venue, wedding packages, catering, corporate events, private parties, and other functions
- Develop relationships with wedding planners, businesses, organizations, and community groups
- Follow up with potential clients and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings
- Network with local businesses and event professionals
- Develop referral partnerships and generate recent business
- Assist clients throughout the sales and booking process
- Meet agreed sales and booking goals

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in event planning, hospitality, sales, or business development is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, outgoing, and professional personality
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Comfortable making calls,



following up with prospects, and developing new leads
- Existing relationships with businesses, wedding planners, event professionals, or community organizations are an asset

Compensation

Ontario minimum wage + percentage-based commission

You will receive an hourly wage in accordance with Ontario employment standards, plus a predetermined percentage commission on successful event bookings that you bring to the venue.

The commission percentage and terms will be discussed during the interview.
