Position Overview:
We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic, and dedicated tutor to join our team. As a Certified or Aspiring Teacher, your primary role will be to provide exceptional educational support to students, particularly focusing on Math, English, and Science. You may also be required to work with students who have ADHD or autism, making your role even more rewarding and impactful.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Educational Empowerment: Foster a positive and engaging learning environment, ensuring students feel confident and motivated to excel in their studies.
2. Personalized Instruction: Adapt your teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
3. Subject Mastery: Provide tutoring in Math, English, and Science, helping students grasp concepts and develop problem-solving skills.
4. Special Needs Support: Offer tailored guidance and support to students with ADHD or autism, creating an inclusive and accessible learning experience.
5. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback.
6. Inspirational Teaching: Be a role model,
fostering a love for learning and a growth mindset in your students.
7. Resource Development: Create or adapt teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) certification is a requirement.
- Aspiring teachers currently pursuing their certification are also welcome to apply.
- Strong passion for education and a genuine desire to inspire and empower students.
- Patience, understanding, and flexibility to work with students of diverse abilities, including those with ADHD or autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students.
- Availability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing student needs.
