Security Guard / Relief Supervisor

Solution Security Protection Services – London, Ontario

Solution Security Protection Services is seeking experienced and dependable candidates for a hybrid Security Guard / Relief Supervisor position.

This position combines regular security guard duties with supervisory responsibilities when operationally required. The successful candidate must be comfortable working front-line security shifts while providing leadership, direction, and support to other security personnel when assigned as a supervisor.

Compensation

- Starting wage: $18.50 per hour
- After successful completion of the probationary period:
- $20.00 per hour while working as a Security Guard
- $22.00 per hour while assigned to Supervisor duties

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of two years of experience in a security supervisory position
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong incident-reporting and documentation skills
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergencies and challenging situations
- Versatile availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Assets

- Experience working in community housing, residential buildings, shelters, or similar environments
- Experience with conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and de-escalation




- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

- Perform regular security guard duties, including patrols, access control, incident response, and report writing
- Provide leadership and operational support when assigned to act as a supervisor
- Conduct employee and site check-ins
- Ensure guards follow post orders, company policies, and client requirements
- Assist with scheduling concerns and emergency shift coverage when required
- Respond to incidents and provide direction to on-duty personnel
- Communicate operational concerns and updates to management
- Promote a professional, respectful, and safety-focused workplace
