Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! This is a temporary position to complete a maternity leave starting September 14th, 2026 to mid November 2026. Office is open Monday to Thursdays 8:30am to 4:30pm. Our current staff member covering the maternity leave is moving and she will be missed. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Your expertise will help create a positive, comfortable environment where patients feel valued and confident in their care. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles.
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet recommendations.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and professionalism.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Support the dental team by assisting with sterilization, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Saskatchewan Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the state licensing board.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that puts patients at ease.
