We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work a minimum of 15 hours/week, remotely. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient consultations in a remote setting. This role requires an NP proficient in remote consultations and prescribing intravenous (IV) therapies (primarily related to iron deficiency). This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in Ontario.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications for intravenous infusion.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using an electronic health record system.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Participate in case management activities as needed.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
Patient Education:
- Educate patients on the purpose of the IV therapy and potential side effects.
- Provide instructions for patient prior to treatment and post treatment at-home care.
Key Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (Primary Health Care) and entitled to practice.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an NP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented healthcare team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $90.00 per hour
