Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of multi-family residential, high-rise, and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background managing complex construction projects from pre-construction through completion, with hands-on experience in both concrete construction and wood-frame construction.

The Project Manager will be responsible for providing overall project leadership, coordinating project teams and subcontractors, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage construction projects from pre-construction planning through project closeout and turnover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, cash flows, and procurement plans.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to Site Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and other project team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and implement effective solutions.
- Manage project costs, including change orders, commitments, progress draws, and forecasting.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor scopes, pricing, schedules, and change orders.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, building codes, contracts, and quality standards.




- Work closely with the site team to ensure effective coordination between office and field operations.
- Oversee procurement and long-lead material planning to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct regular project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, deficiencies, and project documentation.
- Identify and mitigate construction, financial, scheduling, and contractual risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Assist with project closeout, deficiency resolution, commissioning, turnover, and warranty requirements.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain a high standard of integrity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

- 7+ years of progressive construction project management experience, preferably with a general contractor or construction management firm.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-family residential, high-rise, and/or commercial construction projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of both concrete construction and wood-frame construction.




- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through completion and turnover.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and project controls.
- Experience working with subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, owners, and municipal authorities.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and project coordination.
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing high-rise concrete structures and multi-family wood-frame developments.
- Experience with projects involving complex phasing, tight urban sites, and multiple trades.
- Solid knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.
- Experience with design-build, construction management, or negotiated contract delivery models.
- PMP, Gold Seal, LEED, or other relevant industry certification is considered an asset.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
