We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. Position is for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In this role you will focus on maximizing clinic flow, preparing treatment rooms, sterilization and conducting patient consultations.
This position is ideal for a professional with strong verbal communication skills in English and excels in a fast-paced, teamwork based workplace. Looking for someone confident who can take the lead in guiding patients seamlessly through the consultation process, providing continuity of care and is proficient in creating comprehensive, individualized patient treatment plans and has a broad knowledge of diverse dental procedures. Thorough knowledge of Tracker an asset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies for various dental procedures.
- Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, restorations, and other treatments with precision and care.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays),
ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Manage patient records accurately using Tracker- including updating charts and treatment plans.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patients feel at ease.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Skills
- Experience with assisting in a wide variety of dental procedures including implant surgery.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with dental radiography equipment and safety standards for X-ray procedures.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 24.0 per week
