Position: Data Technician

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Data Technician with strong interpersonal and communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming data, maintaining databases, supporting technical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

The position involves working closely with managers, customers, and end-users, providing timely technical support, assisting with the implementation of new applications, and preparing accurate documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, organize, and maintain all incoming data files.
- Review data for inconsistencies, errors, or anomalies that may affect analytical results.
- Maintain databases and perform routine database maintenance to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports and tracking logs.
- Upload and manage data on servers and cloud platforms.
- Provide stakeholders and individual properties with access to essential data sets.
- Streamline data collection, processing, and analysis procedures to ensure timely access to information and metrics.
- Communicate with managers regarding data changes, requirements, and system improvements.
- Generate, review, and maintain documentation related to database changes, updates, and refinements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support to end-users and customers.
- Assist with the rollout, implementation, and support of new software applications.
- Recommend software, hardware,



and data-storage upgrades to improve efficiency and performance.
- Perform regular data backups for truck computers, servers, and other systems.
- Monitor data transfers and ensure files are properly uploaded, stored, and organized.
- Assist with general IT and data-management tasks as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are considered an asset.
- Previous experience in technical support, desktop support, data management, or a similar IT-related role is an asset.
- Robust proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Familiarity with GraniteNet and CTSpec is a strong asset.
- Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk/support software.
- Previous experience with video editing is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, technically capable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn, with the ability to manage large amounts of data while communicating effectively with managers, customers, and team members.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
