We are seeking licensed Truck and Coach Mechanics to maintain our fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment.

Vermilion Express, located in North Western Ontario is expanding and we need mechanics!

We offer the opportunity for the right mechanics to be located in Ontario and work for us in Vermilion Bay on a flexible schedule. Onsite accommodation available for remote mechanics.

In this role, you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems
- Providing innovative solutions and best practices

Requirements:

- MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements of the role.
- Valid Interprovincial 310T or truck and Coach Mechanic or equivalent ticket.
- Valid Drivers License, (AZ preferred but not required).
- Excellent Customer Service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.




- Adhere and champion our safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment and perform required mechanical repairs
- Perform repairs & preventative maintenance services on heavy/medium trucks and trailers
- Ability to work alone or with little or no supervision.
- Able to diagnose & troubleshoot mechanical & electrical failures
- Able to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Must be able to work with others as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Experience:

- Mechanic: 3 years (preferred) working on trucks and trailers

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers License (required)
- 310T License or Licensed Truck and Coach Mechanic

Work Location: In person in Vermilion Bay - Bunk houses on site.
