Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Snow Removal Specialist to ensure safe and accessible pathways during winter months. In this role, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and other designated areas to maintain safety and operational efficiency. Your energetic approach will help us create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in dynamic weather conditions while making a tangible impact on community safety.

Duties

- Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, shovels, and other hand or power tools to clear snow and ice effectively.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain snow removal machinery ensuring optimal performance throughout the season.
- Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation on walkways, stairs, and parking areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleared areas to identify remaining hazards or icy patches requiring additional attention.




- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently across multiple sites or large areas.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and personal protective equipment, to prevent accidents during snow removal operations.

Qualifications

- Prior experience with outdoor maintenance work is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and irrigation systems is a plus for versatile outdoor duties.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and the ability to identify hazards related to icy surfaces or equipment use.
- Physical stamina and strength necessary for shoveling, lifting heavy materials, and operating machinery safely.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
