Duration: 18-24 months
Work Location: These opportunities will require five days per week in-office at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario.

Project:
The organization is undertaking a significant modernization project, a business-critical Human Capital Management (HCM) platform that supports the organization’s workforce, payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee information.
This is a large-scale, multi-phase transformation initiative focused on modernizing HR and payroll processes, expanding digital self-service capabilities, and improving the overall employee and manager experience.
About the Project:
The Digital Onboarding Project will enhance and modernize the existing Oracle PeopleSoft HCM environment and introduce current digital capabilities across key HR and payroll processes.
The initiative will include:
- Digitizing critical HR and payroll processes that are currently manual or paper-based, including employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, and life-event management.
- Expanding employee and manager self-service capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce administrative effort.
- Modernizing legacy PeopleSoft functionality by transitioning Classic+ pages to the Fluid interface.
- Implementing technical upgrades to align the platform with current vendor-supported capabilities.
- Improving operational efficiency and enabling HR,
payroll, and benefits teams to focus on higher-value activities.
- Supporting a structured approach to design, development, testing, deployment, change management, and post-go-live support.
This platform is a critical enterprise system supporting approximately 68,000 employees, making this an opportunity to contribute to a highly visible, business-critical transformation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project’s resources and costs, manages schedule of deliverables and scope, on time and in adherence to government and ministry standards.
- Effectively manages large project budgets and ensures a high level of fiscal control and accountability.
- Proactively identifies and prioritizes potential risk events and issues and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers.
- Participates in steering committee and stakeholder forums and provides reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels.
- Uses appropriate strategies and actions to support change management during all stages of projects.
Qualifications
- A hands-on project manager who has led multiple large ERP ($5M+) projects and has public sector experience.
- Experience working on Microsoft Azure cloud platform with RHEL/Windows OS and Oracle Database.
- Experience to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan.
- Ability to promote I⁢ project management and OPS I⁢ standards and best practices for project management and adherence to standard methodologies.
- Ability to identify and manage inter-personal conflicts, as well as manage client relationships,
ensures knowledge is shared among team members and partners.
- Knowledge and understanding of: Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge, Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
