We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Process and record incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue invoices and follow up with clients via phone or email
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Generate detailed invoices, statements, and account analysis reports for internal review and client communication
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure consistency across financial records
- Maintain organized records of all transactions, payment histories,
and correspondence for audit readiness
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries related to billing, payments, or account status with professionalism and clarity
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via phone etiquette and written correspondence
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic math skills for financial calculations
- Previous experience in financial services or related industries is a plus
