As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team and play an important role in managing our product selection, supplier relationships, inventory levels, and purchasing decisions.

About the Role

The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing products, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring we maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, confident in negotiating, and comfortable working in a fast-paced wholesale environment. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers and suppliers while also understanding customer needs and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify new suppliers, products, and purchasing opportunities.
- Source products and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, availability, and service.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery arrangements with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify purchasing needs to prevent stock shortages and overstock.
- Forecast product demand using sales history, market trends, and customer needs.
- Work closely with the Sales and other departments to understand customer demand and product trends.
- Review purchasing and sales data to identify opportunities to improve inventory management and profitability.




- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, competitors, and new products.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier information, and product details.
- Monitor supplier performance, including pricing, product availability, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Assist with product selection and expanding Kays Wholesale's product offerings.
- Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs and improve margins.
- Resolve purchasing and supplier-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure purchasing decisions align with company objectives and customer needs.
- Perform other purchasing and inventory-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience as a Purchaser, Buyer, Purchasing Coordinator, or similar role, preferably in wholesale, retail, grocery, or distribution.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.




- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying problems and finding solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
