We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acupuncturist/DTCM (Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a well established practice and willing to work in SW Calgary. The candidate must also possess a robust foundation in traditional Chinese medicine practices, with a focus on providing comprehensive acupuncture treatments and patient care. As an integral part of our clinic, you will deliver personalized therapy sessions, promote holistic health, and collaborate with established chiropractors and massage therapists to achieve health goals of our patients through evidence-based TCM techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health conditions and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement tailored acupuncture treatment plans based on traditional Chinese medicine principles.
- Administer acupuncture sessions safely and effectively, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Educate patients on TCM practices, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment progress, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care when necessary.
- Ensure a clean, organized treatment environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in acupuncture and TCM practices through continuous education and professional development.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient care with compassion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to traditional Chinese medicine and integrative health practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain treatment procedures and health advice to patients.
- Certification or licensure as an Acupuncturist or DTCM practitioner is required; additional qualifications in related fields are a plus.
