Established in 2003, the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce is a trusted partner linking 2SLGBTQI+ businesses in Canada to the wider business community. CQCC fosters economic growth by supporting 2SLGBTQI+ businesses, entrepreneurs, students and allies, and by helping Canada's corporate sector connect with the 2SLGBTQI+ business community. A leader in inclusive procurement, CQCC is also Canada's certifying body for LGBTQI+ businesses and Canada's accrediting body for 2SLGBTQI+ inclusive businesses.
The Chance
CQCC is seeking an organized and relationship-focused Coordinator to support the growth of Rainbow Registered, a national accreditation program that helps tourism and hospitality businesses create more welcoming and inclusive experiences for 2SLGBTQI+ customers and employees.
Reporting to the Corporate Business Development Manager, Rainbow Registered, and working closely with Corporate Engagement and regional colleagues, this role supports prospecting, outreach, CRM administration, follow-up, events and participant engagement. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys responding to client inquiries, keeping information organized and following through to help businesses navigate the Rainbow Registered program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Rainbow Registered participant accounts and renewals, a primary focus of the role, with responsibility for maintaining regular contact, tracking renewal deadlines and following up to support timely renewals and participant retention.
- Research tourism and hospitality businesses,
industry associations, destination organizations and other prospective Rainbow Registered participants and partners.
- Build and maintain accurate prospect, contact and activity records in CQCC's CRM, including lead status, follow-up dates, meeting notes and conversion information.
- Support outreach campaigns by preparing contact lists, coordinating communications, scheduling meetings and following up with prospective participants.
- Respond to routine inquiries and provide clear information about Rainbow Registered, its benefits, accreditation process and available resources.
- Support participant enrollment, renewal and engagement activities and ensure timely handoffs to program delivery colleagues.
- Coordinate webinars, presentations, conferences and regional events, including invitations, registration, materials, logistics and post-event follow-up.
- Work with Business Development, Corporate Engagement, regional Engagement Managers, and Marketing and Communications to keep outreach activities and messaging aligned.
- Track activities and results, prepare regular pipeline and engagement updates, and identify gaps or follow-up needs for the team.
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in business, tourism, marketing, communications, community development or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of experience in business development support, sales coordination, invested partners engagement, client service,
membership or program administration.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage details, deadlines, records and follow-up across multiple priorities.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating with businesses and community partners.
- Experience using Monday.com, SharePoint and Stripe to support day-to-day coordination, account administration and payment processing; familiarity with WordPress is an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to working respectfully with 2SLGBTQI+ and equity-deserving communities.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, chambers, not-for-profit organizations or event coordination is considered an asset.
- French language is also considered an asset.
Terms
This is a full time, remote position supporting Rainbow Registered growth and engagement across Canada. Occasional travel and some evening or weekend work may be required for events and program activities.
Compensation
Salary will be based on skills and experience, within the annual salary range of $55,000-$60,000. Additional benefits include group benefit plan coverage, annual vacation, and a generous public holiday schedule, including paid time off between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
