- Works in collaboration with the resources from the Sports & Youth Initiatives Division and relevant regional partners (NV’s, KRG, KI and others);
- Communicating with community resources in recreation to ensure their preparedness to participate in sporting events.
- Help facilitate special sporting or Cultural events for and in Nunavik communities;
- Attend meetings, as and when required, and prepare action items;
- Assist in coordinating travel arrangements and prepare itineraries for travel;
- Assist with inventory of equipment in communities;
- Assist other department’s staff with logistical and clerical duties as instructed by the supervisor;
- Ensure the hard copy and electronic filing of administrative documents;
- Be available to travel, as requested;
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma;
- Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut,
English and/or French;
- Great computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Demonstrates experience working in Sporting and/or Cultural Events;
- Reliable and punctual;
- Demonstrate the capacity to work autonomously and a excellent team player;
- Demonstrate leadership, communication and planning skills;
- Good knowledge of accounting procedures and budget management.
