S-FAB Fabrication Inc. is a sister company to Safety Power Inc.; a leading Canadian cleantech company, supplying to the data centre industry. Our equipment removes nitrogen oxides, particulates and other harmful emissions most commonly for diesel engines used for backup power; end users of our systems include Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

Role Overview

The position will oversee material flow throughout our manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for coordinating inbound materials, supporting outbound shipments, overseeing floor organization, and helping ensure production teams receive the right materials at the right time.

This position will work closely with production, project management, shipping/receiving, vendors, and forklift operators to maintain efficient plant operations. This position requires strong organizational ability, urgency, communication skills, and the ability to think several steps ahead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and oversee inbound material deliveries throughout the facility
- Ensure materials are properly received, organized, tracked, and delivered to the correct production inventory areas
- Support outbound shipping operations and transportation coordination with carriers and project management.
- Work closely with shipping/receiving personnel and forklift operators to ensure safe efficient loading and unloading of trucks
- Direct and prioritize daily material movement throughout the plant
- Assist with purchasing and replenishment of production materials and consumables
- Coordinate incoming production materials including cladding materials, laser components, weld consumables and gases, purchased manufacturing parts, and general production supplies




- Monitor floor organization and material storage standards throughout the facility
- Help identify and predict potential material shortages, delays, or organizational issues before they impact production
- Maintain communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding material status and delivery schedules
- Confirming receipt and issuance of shipment document.
- Updating of the system for both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure inventory accuracy on the floor matches the system at all times.
- Obsolescence mitigation and management of inventory.
- Hire and train new Shippers and Receivers
- Support continuous improvement of logistics, organization, and material handling processes
- Assist in developing structure and accountability within shipping and receiving operations
- Operate forklifts and support material handling activities as required
- Ensure forklift, dock and material storage area’s are maintained in a safe manner.
- Coordinate the repair and service of material handling devices and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in manufacturing logistics, material coordination, shipping/receiving, purchasing, or production support
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- Engineering, technical, or manufacturing coordination background considered a strong asset




- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing methods to cut waste an asset
- Mechanically inclined with solid operational awareness
- Comfortable working both on the production floor and in an office environment
- Ability to lead by example and maintain operational standards across departments

Job Demands & Working Conditions

- Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, vibration and metal dust from insulation material.
- Effectively perform in a fast-paced environment, and sometimes high stress situations.
- Forklift operation, when required.
- Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and handle materials throughout the shift, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to welding fumes and dust, as well as air born insulation, for which masks are available.
- Ability to climb or balance, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist, and climb throughout entire shift.
- Required to wear PPE (welding helmet, welding gloves, safety glasses, safety boots, ear plugs are required)
- May require overtime and weekend shift work depending on production demand

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
