Wenchu Education is a learning centre in Richmond, BC, focused on Academic and ELL education for elementary and middle school students.

Wenchu Education is looking for a Part-Time English / ELL Teacher to teach students in Grades 1–7 in small-group classes.

Responsibilities

* Teach English and ELL classes for students in Grades 1–7

* Teach Phonics, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Writing, and Oral Language

* Support students in developing Academic English

* Adapt lessons according to students’ English levels and learning needs

* Prepare age-appropriate lessons, exercises, and learning activities

* Provide individualized support within a small-group setting

* Monitor student progress and provide feedback

* Communicate professionally with parents and the education centre

* Help students build confidence in using English at school* Teach Phonics, Vocabulary, Reading, Grammar, Writing, and Oral Language

* Support students in developing Academic English

* Adjust lessons based on students’ English levels and learning needs





* Monitor progress and provide feedback

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or currently completing a university degree

* Strong English communication and writing skills

* Experience teaching or tutoring elementary or middle school students

* Familiarity with ELL/ESL instruction is strongly preferred

* Knowledge of phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, and writing instruction

* Patient, responsible, organized, and comfortable working with children

* Able to adjust teaching methods for students at different proficiency level

Schedule

* Weekday afternoons / after school

* Weekends

Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience and scope of responsibilities.

Location: 8111 Anderson Road, Richmond, BC
