Duties
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine necessary repairs and parts replacement
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Perform collision repairs including frame straightening, panel replacement, and structural repairs with precision
- Follow safety protocols consistently while handling tools, chemicals, and heavy parts to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Document repair processes accurately and communicate progress clearly to supervisors and customers
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience demonstrating hands-on collision repair skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment required for vehicle repairs
- Experience working with structural repairs preferred
- Ability to lift heavy vehicle parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Previous mechanic experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Red Seal certification is required
