We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee day-to-day project delivery and help our crews complete exceptional work safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is a combined project management and superintendent-style position suited to someone who understands landscape construction, enjoys leading people, embraces technology, and can keep multiple projects organized from start to finish.
Our company typically operates three to five landscape installation crews. The successful candidate will spend most of their time managing people, schedules, resources, clients, subcontractors, budgets, project documentation, and quality rather than performing daily production labour.

The Position
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating landscape construction projects from the handoff of an approved design and estimate through final completion. You will provide clear direction to crew leaders, monitor production and budgets, coordinate materials and equipment, maintain quality standards, and serve as a key point of communication between clients, crews, suppliers, subcontractors, designers, and company management.
This position is ideal for an organized and practical leader who can see the big picture while still noticing important construction details. You must be comfortable making decisions, managing changing priorities, resolving site challenges,
and holding crews accountable in a respectful and professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience Required
- At least five years of experience in landscape construction, civil construction, residential construction, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience leading crews, supervising field operations, or managing construction projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of landscape construction methods, sequencing, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, construction drawings, scopes of work, grades, elevations, and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule crews, coordinate materials and equipment, and manage several active projects.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and confident communication with clients, employees, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to use email, smartphones, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and digital project documentation.
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's licence with a responsible driving record.
- Ability to travel regularly to jobsites throughout the North and Central Okanagan.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Preferred
- Experience managing three or more landscape or construction crews.
- Experience with high-end residential landscape construction.
- Knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, base preparation, segmental retaining walls, natural stone, concrete or porcelain paving, stairs, irrigation, planting, and landscape finishing.
- Experience with estimating, job costing, change orders, purchasing, or project management software.
- Familiarity with WorkSafeBC requirements and construction safety documentation.
- Occupational First Aid, WHMIS, equipment certifications, or other relevant safety training.
- Landscape horticulture, construction, civil technology, project management, or supervisory training.
- Experience operating compact excavators, skid steers, loaders, or other landscape construction equipment is an asset, although this is primarily a management position.

- Communicate clearly with clients and reduce surprises.
- Develop strong crew leaders and promote accountability across the team.
- Improve planning, documentation, and coordination as the company grows.
- Take ownership of project outcomes rather than waiting to be directed at every step.
Compensation and Perks
- Annual salary of $75,000 to $105,000 based on experience, leadership ability, and technical knowledge.
- Performance-based KPI Bonus potential

Schedule and Working Conditions
- Full-time position 40-50 + hour weeks
- Hours may vary during peak construction periods or when project requirements demand.
- Regular travel between the office, suppliers, and active jobsites is required.
- The role involves working outdoors in varying weather and walking over active, uneven construction sites.
- Occasional assistance with physical or equipment-related work may be required to support a crew or resolve a site issue, but this is primarily a management and supervisory position.
