Graphic Designer: Maternity Leave Contract

Job Type: Full time, Fixed-Term Contract (Approx 12 Months)

Expected Start Date: Mid October 2026

This is an in-office position with the possibility for hybrid work-from-home.

Castanet is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team in Kelowna.

A Castanet Designer must have the ability to look at the bigger picture in advertising campaigns. They must be able to take concepts and ideas and transform them into visual representations. They are expected to have an aptitude for production/design, possess an awareness of Castanet and IAB standards and practices, be accountable, report to the Creative Director while working independently and the ability to work with Account Managers to coordinate project flow and deadlines.

A major role is to communicate directly with the Account Management team. Personal skills, along with creativity, are vital.

Must be able to follow your instinct and experience. Question or recommend when required to ensure the highest standard of creative design. Creative turn around time is quick; the ability to produce quality work in a short time is imperative.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute digital ads from concept to completion
- Work directly with an Account Manager to satisfy client creative needs
- Make corrections and modifications to artwork as requested
- Complete multiple creative pieces within a tight time frame




- Create visually compelling and effective creative
- Work independently and proof creative for quality and accuracy
- Maintain industry knowledge

Qualifications:

- 2+ years professional design experience
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited art or design program a plus
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator required, Dreamweaver and Animate would be a plus)
- Meet tight, quick deadlines in a high-energy team environment
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout
- Understanding of HTML would be a plus though not required
- Experience in advertising, producing high-quality marketing work is a big plus Adaptable and quick learner
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions
- Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time management skills

Pay: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
